Bioi.org was formed with the express purpose to conduct biomedical research and scientific education as it relates to healthcare and medical devices that have the possibility to benefit the masses.

About the Founder
Paul Torres serves on the Advisory Board for the Texas A&M University System’s Office of Innovation, a strategic initiative dedicated to accelerating research commercialization, fostering industry collaboration, and delivering scalable impact. The board convenes leaders from academia, government, and industry to shape innovation strategy, prioritize high-value partnerships, and guide the development of translational platforms in areas such as energy, healthcare, artificial intelligence, and infrastructure.

In this capacity, Paul identifies and structures opportunities that align the university’s research, talent, and infrastructure with public and private sector priorities. His work includes connecting major stakeholders to the System’s 11 universities and statewide assets, enabling the creation of actionable, mutually beneficial partnerships focused on real-world deployment and long-term value.

In addition to this role, Paul has served, and continues to serve, on several advisory boards across Texas A&M’s College of Engineering and College of Arts and Sciences. He served for 15 years on the Board of Advisors for Texas A&M’s Department of Biomedical Engineering, where he is also a member of the Chancellor’s Century Council. He currently serves on the TAMU Biology Advisory Board. Paul previously served as Chairman of the Board for the Biomedical Engineering Society of North America – Industry Advisory.

Paul’s professional background includes serving as President and Chief Strategy Officer of the largest privately held healthcare support services firm in the United States, overseeing 17,000 employees and managing 50 million square feet of clinical infrastructure. He now serves as Principal and National Practice Lead, deploying billions of dollars annually through certified B-Corp funds to invest in critical infrastructure projects nationwide.
